Helen leads our day to day finance team and looks for new ways to improve efficiency in the systems and help program directors have fun while managing their budgets.

Prior to joining PowerSwitch, Helen led finance, human resources and operations departments for the past 25 years with several non-profits with a regional focus on the South, Western NC and nationally. These organizations run environmental conservation campaigns, provided HIV/AIDS advocacy and education and research and policy to build the capacity of climate justice policy.

She has set up new systems, procedures and policies for young organizations, strengthened ones that already existed and evolved actual office environments into ones who could operate remotely.

Helen received a BA in Philosophy from the University of Tampa and has a Certification in Executive Non Profit Management from Duke University.

When she is not working Helen likes to travel and walk her dog Walter.
